Mature trees are harvested under the required permissions. Your 70% share of the sandalwood harvest is set out in your agreement, and the land stays in your name.

One plot works in three different ways — a long-cycle timber crop, produce from the host and intercrops between the rows for all 15 years, and the land underneath, which stays in your name throughout. Here is how each one is structured, and what share of it is yours.
70%The heartwood harvest is shared with you at 70%. We handle the regulated harvest and transport permissions and the linkage to authorised buyers — you are not left to find a market for a controlled species on your own.
Heartwood varies from tree to tree with how each one grows. Heartwood grades and prices are set at the time of harvest, not in advance.
60%Sandalwood needs host plants alongside it throughout its life, so the rows between the trees stay cropped for the full 15-year cycle. Produce is shared with you at 60% under your management agreement.
What gets planted is decided season by season, on soil condition and what the market wants that year. Quantities depend on seasonal and market conditions, so we do not fix them in advance.

Yes. You may build a weekend home or farmhouse on up to 10% of your plot area, subject to applicable local and state regulations.
You retain ownership of the land. At the end of the 15-year managed cycle, SmartAgro will present renewal or exit options. There is no obligation to continue the management arrangement.
